The Hectorville Football Club began in 1963 in the East Torrens Association and in 1964 was formed as the Hectorville Sporting Club. The Hectorville Football Club currently plays in the Channel Nine Football League (SAAFL Division 5) and the SANFL junior competition. Hectorville now has 4 Senior sides (A5, A5 Reserves, C5 & U18's) and 16 Junior sides with the recent introduction of the girls football program (U10, U12, U14 & U16's) adding to our roster.
The senior competition includes 9 home games at Daly Oval and 9 away games throughout the year with the season beginning in April and ending in September. Junior games are played on Friday nights and Sundays over a similar period.
Given the success of the Hectorville Football Club over the past couple of years including the A5 premiership in 2016 and the ongoing promotion of the AFL, AFLW and NAB Auskick in general, the club envisages participation in the football club will increase over the coming years.
We are the only club in the SANFL league that has a Summer Footy Program that attracts over 100 junior players including visitors from other clubs. In season 2018, a club record number of junior members have signed up again to play for the Hounds!
